This Ivanhoe is as beautiful as it sounds, it’s more than just a showpiece it’s a banjo player’s dream. We reserve the most highly figured walnut for the neck. The resonator is made from rare and exotic burl walnut veneer; this beautiful burl veneer is the same veneer as used on the inside of a Rolls Royce.
We do something very special with the inlays by setting abalone shell into mother-of-pearl and then inlaying them both flawlessly into the hard, dense, colorful, exotic, and naturally beautiful ebony fingerboard. The abalone adds a colorful sparkle of blue, green and red to the white mother-of-pearl inlays. Also, the resonator and our featured three-ply hard rock maple rim are trimmed with the multicolored hand-set abalone shell and ivoroid binding.

You’ll find superb craftsmanship in every aspect of the Ivanhoe, from the triple bound peghead to the hand-carved heel, and the superbly engraved gold plated metal parts; featuring an intricately pierced armrest accented with elegant floral engraving. The neck is fully adjustable with our two-way adjustable truss-rod, and our Deering bronze tone ring gives it a clarity, purity and richness of tone never before attained.
