Deering Maple Blossom 5-string banjo back

Deering Maple Blossom 5-string banjo peghead

The eastern sugar maple tree, the source of maple syrup, is one of the treasured sources for woods for banjos. This Maple Blossom is made from hard, curly rock maple and stained with a dark walnut toned stain. When this individually selected wood is built into a banjo with the genuine Deering bronze tone ring, three ply rock maple rim and one piece cast zinc flange, the result is a banjo that is so bright, crisp and clear that every note pops out of this banjo with precision and power.

But the fun doesn’t stop there. We bind the neck and resonator with white binding that has a single thin black line next to it. The hard, colorful, exotic, unstained, naturally beautiful ebony fingerboard, is inlaid with mother of pearl flower motif inlays which not only guide the players hand but add an aire of grace and visual poetry to this superb banjo. Pick it up and play it and we think you’ll agree.

Eastern sugar maple, maple syrup and this Deering Maple Blossom: one sweet combination.
