Dear Carolina, Janet, and Greg,

Winning a Goodtime banjo at Steve Kaufman Acoustic Kamp last June made
a dream come true for me - to hike up to the Appalachian Trail to Rocky
Top (on Thunderhead Mountain in the Great Smoky Mountains in
Tennessee) and play Rocky Top for through hikers on their way to Maine.
To be able to be a Trail Angel for a day and provide brownies and
music for the hikers after their steep ascent to Rocky Top was so
special. The night before severe storms stalled over that section of
the mountains and hail, strong winds and severe thunder and lightning
kept them up most of the night. Me and my Goodtime banjo brought them
some Trail Magic that day after the storm.
