Goodtime 2 Parlor Banjo

SKU# GT2-PR

Availability: In stock

$719.00

Quick Overview

A smaller sized 19 fret 5-string Goodtime for easy reach needed by small women or children or for back seat pickers who want to play in a small space. It is shorter than your normal sized 22 fret 5-string, measuring 4” shorter.

The Parlor Goodtime allows for the standard fingering in playing a 5-string banjo, the frets are closer together so fingers don’t have to stretch as far to play the right chords. A child as young as five or six can easily get started on a Goodtime Parlor banjo.

The sound of the Parlor Goodtime is not quite as loud and while it can be heard well, it is pleasant even during family conversations. Greg Deering made one and played Christmas Carols while the family opened gifts and the sound was wonderful background music for the holiday celebration. This joyful experience combined with the request from our good friend, Wayne Rice for a banjo to teach his young nephew, is what prompted the release of the new Goodtime Parlor banjo.
