DEERING BANJOS INTRODUCES 21ST CENTURY MARKETING TOOL

Deering Banjos has always believed in partnering modern technology with time-tested tradition. They believe that information is a key element to helping customers and dealers make sound decisions when buying or selling a banjo. “Hang tags” with up-to-date material and specifications on Deering’s American-made banjos have long been a cornerstone of their marketing tools. To help retailers of all sizes more conveniently handle the increased flow of banjos coming through their stores, Deering Banjos has added UPC-barcodes to each of their model “hang tags.”
“We used to get a lot of calls about the information which is now located on our “hang tags.” Since their introduction, the nature of the calls we receive at the factory has changed which proves the effectiveness of this means of communication. They are a great way of educating sales people, providing better presentation of the banjos, and for helping the consumer as well,” said Barry Hunn, world-wide sales manager for the Deering Banjo Company. “With the growth and expansion of the acoustic music market and the accompanying growth of many music stores, many dealers are having to control their inventory with more modern techniques like bar-coding. We are addressing these technological management advances with the addition of bar-coding on our tags.,” he added.
