Deering Banjo Company has opened up 5 high end models to retailers to expand
their dealers ability to better serve the ever-increasing demand for quality
banjos. Models like the 24-fret John Hartford, the gold-plated and gun-engraved
Ivanhoe, the limited edition Texas, Brazilian rosewood and mother of pearl Gabriella,
and the unique Banjosaurus will now be available to customers by visiting Deering
dealers wherever they are located. This improvement expands the retailers’
ability to sell Deerings, the most popular American made banjos in the world
, in price points from $299 all the way to $52,200.
“At Deering we all truly love the banjo! We believe in fostering this
shared love of America’s own instrument, the banjo, with all aspiring
musicians. We felt that this move would help the dealers meet the needs of the
growing number of people interested in getting started or expanding their ability
to play the banjo,” said Carolina Bridges, Director of Public Relations
for Deering Banjos.
Greg and Janet Deering have been expanding production and improving tooling
to meet the demands of customers world-wide for quality banjos. While prices
have not changed substantially, this move to open up banjos that were formally
only available through the factory custom shop, will get all models into the
hands of customers by putting them in contact with retailers in their area.
Retailers will gain greater contact with the local buying public. Customers,
on the other hand, will now be able to establish a working relationship with
the music dealers who will become an invaluable resource for their future needs.
