DEERING PRESENTS THE NAMM 100TH YEAR BANJO

Deering proudly saluted NAMM with a 100 year commemorative Goodtime Banjo. This limited edition banjo has been created to honor one hundred usccessful years of NAMM. Each banjo will be numbered in sequence and wears a NAMM 100 anniversary emblem on the peghead. Every banjo is delivered with a certificate of authenticity to validate its unique status as a rare, collectable banjo. At a suggested retail price of $299, this limited edition will appeal to collectors and players who want a special banjo. It is particularly appropriate that Deering chose the Goodtime banjo as a commemorative for NAMM. The Goodtime banjo is a handmade banjo that is designed and intended to expand the banjo market because of its high quality and low price. The Goodtime banjo is Deering's best selling banjo and like NAMM, is a powerful promotional vehicle for the music industry. NAMM promotes the music industry and the Goodtime banjo promotes banjos. "It's a natural fit that such a delightful product would be chosen to represent such an enduring and positive organization like NAMM," says Barry Hunn, sales manager of the Deering Banjo Company. "NAMM has always promoted music and brought dealers and manufacturers together and it's great to be a part of that history in a memorable way that will endure." The Goodtime banjo has a blonde rock maple neck, all geared tuners, a multi-ply birch and rock maple rim, an adjustable tailpiece, single coordinator rod and a tope frosted head. It uses an 11" high crown head like all Deering banjos and is made in the U.S.A. The simple design makes tune-ups and adjustments very user friendly. The neck is a slender, low profile and fits most hands beautifully. It's tone is bright and crisp and has a growing reputation of sounding far better than banjos costing up to five times the price.
