Gold Embossed with the Deering Eagle Logo, this leather strap has sheep's wool padding for comfort. It attaches by threading the slender ends between the J-hooks and the rim and attaches with a tie that threads through the holes in the ends of the strap in effect cradling the banjo which is a very secure attachment.

2 3/4" wide. Available in Black and Brown.

Shoelace color may vary from black, tan, or brown, depending on manufacturer availability.

Designed for Deering and Tenbrooks Banjos

This strap will not fit Eagle Series, Boston, Vega, and Goodtime Series banjos.

Lambs Wool Strap on my Sierra Maple

"I love this strap, It is so comfortable to wear, either standing or sitting on a stool. The only problem I have with it is once attached it is not really optional to remove. The thick leather and lambswool make it virtually impossible to put the banjo in the Deering hard case when I need to move between gigs, --for which I would never ever trust a gig bag. Unfortunately I have to use a less robust "hard case" which I do not think protects as much as the Deering hard case."

Does this strap have to be removed each time it goes in the case? I am playing on a Serra 5 string.: The strap is designed to fit into the case while attached to the banjo.
Would this strap work for a calico and fit in the hard shell case? Also would it adjust small enough to for a 5'1" banjo player?: It would fit on a Calico and you can wrap it around the space made in the resonator/flange area. You can return it if you cannot adjust it down but I feel like it should work very well for your height.
I have recently bought a Sierra Maple from your agent in UK. I am thoroughly enchanted with it. It is _so much heavier than my first "starter" (a non Deering-model sorry); I definitely need a strap for support but wonder will this fit comfortably? I am 6'4 1/2 and weight 245lb. If not could you recommend a longer strap?: This is a great strap for the Sierra...with the extra padding that you will need. :-)

Why is this banjo incompatible with the Goodtime models? I would like to put it on my goodtime openback From the description..."Designed for: All Deering and Tenbrooks banjos - EXCLUDING the Boston, Vega, Eagle II, and GOODTIME banjos.": The cradle ends are too thick to be used on a Goodtime banjo.
Will this strap fit my Epiphone Gibson MB 200 banjo.: Maybe...it requires a good spacing between the hook and rim and I am not familiar enough with your banjo to say for sure.
