Price Value Quality I have had my Vega longneck for about 8 months and I am loving it. It sounds equally full and bright for both old time music as well as folk music. Thanks Deering.

Price Value Quality Well what can you say about a Vega banjo that has not been said before. They are an icon all by themselves. I have been playing folk and bluegrass for many years and after watching the movie "A Mighty Wind" I just had to check out the Vega Long Neck. Once I got it my hands on it it "did" ring as loud and clear as the one played in the movie by "The Folksmen". It is not only a great sounding banjo, it is surprisingly easy to play up the neck. The long neck banjo has a thicker neck than say the Calico or even the Golden Era, but is not difficult to chord. I can really use this banjo in the act. It comes in handy when doing all of the old Kingston Trio, Pete Seeger, The Weavers, and other songs of the sixties. And, I just remove the capo from the third fret and I am in E, ready for you. The simple dot inlay is understated elegance compared to my other banjos and their elaborate vines, hearts and flowers, flying eagles and snowflake designes. Iim not saying I don't like my fancy banjos, but the "Vega" is still just as classy with with dots. I almost had Deering put an old time Gryphon on the peg head, but I opted for tradition instead. My hat is off to Deering for being able to re-porduce this fantastic instrument.

Price Value Quality I've had my Vega Long Neck for almost 10 years now. I play in a group and it has been played a great great deal over the past 10 years . I think it's sounding better all the time. I had a Gibson Long Neck for may years before...but the Vega has a much sweeter sound. Great instrument... I thought of purchasing an original Vega from the 60's but I'm glad I purchased a brand new instrument that would mellow with me, as I get older....and it has! Thanks!

Price Value Quality I had a Boston made Vega from the early 60s into the early 80's and it was a great instrument. This is every bit its equal if not better. Thank you, Deering.
