The Mumford & Sons Giving Tuesday Charity Banjo is entirely one-of-a-kind, with the natural maple GOTR neck, custom brown maple stained resonator and metal parts finished in Bronze Chrome Powder Finish. The drum head of the banjo bears the unmistakable wings logo of the band and was personally signed by each member with a personal message “ Thank you for being awesome!”. This is the Mumford & Sons Giving Tuesday Charity Banjo.

The charity Mumford & Sons chose for this auction to benefit is Equal Justice Initiative (EJI) who are committed to ending mass incarceration and excessive punishment in the United States, challenge racial and economic injustice, and protect basic human rights for the most vulnerable people in American society. EJI is a private, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides legal representation to people who have been illegally convicted, unfairly sentenced, or abused in state jails and prisons, and provides re-entry assistance to formerly incarcerated people.

This model is based on the Deering Goodtime Two with a resonator back for projection, and a violin grade maple rim that gives it a bright and clear tone. Designed and built by Deering Banjos at their factory in Spring Valley, California specifically for this auction.
