Flexible and comfortable, this 2” caramel brown leather cradle strap is made in the USA. It's basic design has a vintage look and will fit our Goodtime and Vega Banjo lines.

Shoelace color may vary from black, tan, or brown, depending on manufacturer availability.

This strap will fit all Deering, Vega, and Goodtime Series banjos.

Will it work with a 12" Americana: Yes, the soft leather cradle strap is compatible with all Goodtime banjos.
Will the Soft leather cradle strap fit my Deering Vega No.2, & is it available from Eagle Music store in Huddersfield, U.K. ?: Yes, the Soft Leather Cradle Strap should fit your Vega #2. I recommend to reach out to Eagle Music shop for current level of stock.
Do you make a special cradle strap for the Boston? The bracket hooks are too close to the rim to be able to feed a thick leather strap through them easily.: Yes, for your banjo please look at the woven cradle strap, the soft leather cradle or the eagle logo cradle strap...those are made specifically to work on that banjos. Will this particular strap work with a Deering Sierra?: No, this is not strong enough for the weight of an Eagle II banjo. You need either the woven leather cradle, the soft leather cradle, or the eagle logo cradle strap for your banjo.

I saw several reviews that claimed the strap was too short for them. I am 6'3" tall. What can I expect if I install this on a Vega Bluegrass Senator banjo? Is the length of this strap standard and is there enough adjustment to accommodate taller people?: The length of the strap may not be long enough for your tall frame. I would attach it by using the cradle ends as "loops" around the hooks at the 3 pm and 9pm position on your banjo pot assembly (neck is noon; tailpiece is 6 pm). You have two shoe laces to make those loops around the hooks. That will work better for you I believel.

i have attempted to follow the instructions that came with the strap but cannot figure out how the shoe strings work. The pictures that came with the instructions are very dark and I can't tell anything from them.: You only need one shoe string and it is used to tie the overlapped cradle ends together.

With the cradle strap still on the banjo, will my Goodtime open back still fit into your case that is designed for open back banjos? Is the thinner part flexible enough to be turned so the strap can be put under the head? That's what I do now- with a strap I made.: Yes, if you have an openback, just tuck the strap inside the pot assembly opening of your rim and it will fit in the case nicely.
