The Banjosaurus - an example of how anything is possible, was designed for George Grove of the Kingston Trio. The fingerboard is a mural of the dinosaur age with inlays of white, gold and black pearl, coral, turquoise, cactus, rock, abalone, veracite, malacite, soapstone, koa, taugua nut, rosewood, and ebony. Over four hundred man hours went into the work on this hand-inlaid fingerboard and peghead.
Usually long neck banjos are open-back; however, George Grove opted to add a resonator with our pop-on resonator feature so that he can easily change between the traditional sound of an open-back to the more robust sound of a resonator banjo. The pop-on resonator is perfect for players who play both bluegrass and folk or old time music.
When you order a banjo of this caliber the one request we have is no strict time limits. It takes as long as it takes to make a masterpiece. Patience brings great rewards.
