With the more classic fiddle peghead shape (now found on all Deering Goodtime banjos, the rich dark brown stain, planetary tuning pegs and the addition of spikes at 7,9, 10 for alternate tunings, this light weight maple banjo not only meets but exceeds the features customers wanted and needed. The violin-grade maple rim is made of the same wood used on the professional level Deering models and gives the Goodtime banjo a rich, full, round note distinction.

Light weight enough to travel with, convenient enough to keep by your easy chair at home, the Goodtime Classic is great for hours of practice with a neck that is both comfortable to play and accurate to fret. With the satin finish, white inlays, and the addition of side dots for ease of play, this Goodtime banjo is not only beautiful to look at but will bring you hours of musical enjoyment.

With a Bluegrass resonator back for projection, The Classic Goodtime 2 banjo has a 3-ply violin grade maple rim and produces a bright and clear tone that projects well and is louder than an open back banjo. The Classic 2 is enhanced with a Rich Brown stain, white detailing and spikes at 7, 9, and 10. The use of spikes enables you to expand your playing from the key of G to easily play in the keys of A, B and C

Here is a banjo you can have right there by your easy chair and play between commercials or take out an play in a jam. It's a good bluegrass banjo, lighter weight and easy to carry. The Classic Goodtime Two 17-Fret Tenor banjo is tuned like a viola in Standard Tenor Banjo Tuning of C,G,D,A.  It can also be tuned like a violin (one octave lower) in the Irish Tenor Tuning of G,D,A,E. The Classic has a traditional look with the Deering peghead shape, a rich brown stain, and planetary banjo Tuners. It's a good tenor banjo, lighter weight with a clear tone that is warm and resonant. Because this model has a resonator it is louder than the open back model. It has an accurate neck that is as comfortable as can be.

The Classic Goodtime Special Openback is louder and brighter than the original Goodtime model because it has the patent pending Special Tone Ring and is great for players who like to jam and want to be heard. The rich brown stain, planetary tuners, and Deering peghead shape gives the classic look of a vintage banjo. This versatile banjo can also be played in the keys of A, B, or C by using the spikes which are already installed and a capo. If you enjoy playing standing up this is perfect as it weighs 6.5 lbs and you can stand up play it all night long!

Being an openback banjo, this is great for the Clawgrass style of playing because the tone ring gives it that brighter tone needed for Clawgrass music and other modern openback styles that need a banjo with sustain that projects freely. It is first and foremost a very playable instrument, that is built to be durable and travel easily, while being a superb sounding banjo that pleases audiences.

Perfect for traditional jazz/dixieland music, this American maple 19-fret Goodtime Two tenor banjo is light weight and stained in a rich, dark brown.

Crafted with planetary tuners, side dots, a Deering peghead shape, and white inlays, the neck is slim and easy to play. The natural maple brightness, frosted bottom head and tenor strings tuned CGDA, create a banjo that is bright, with good sustain. The 3-ply violin grade maple rim is crafted of the same wood used on our professional level Deering banjos and opens up the sound of the banjo giving it a full, round, rich clarity. The resonator, as is its function, makes the banjo louder. Tuned in fifths, this is also a banjo easily played by mandolin or violin players who want a banjo they can use for songs they already know because they can use the same chord forms.

The Classic Goodtime 17-Fret Tenor banjo is tuned like a viola or octave mandolin G,D,A,E so any mandolin player can easily pick it up and play it. It can also be tuned like a standard tenor banjo in C,G,D,A. The Classic has a traditional look with its fiddle peghead shape, a rich brown stain, and planetary banjo Tuners. It's a good tenor banjo, lighter weight with a clear tone that is warm and resonant. It has an accurate neck that is as comfortable as can be.

The vintage look and light weight make traveling easy with this great playing banjo, offering you years of delight and enjoyment.
