Sandblasting (Part Time)

We have bought our sandblasting in house! Are you the right person to run it?

You will be responsible for sandblasting a variety of parts, ensuring they are ready for powder coating.

Daily quotas, detailing needs of specifications will be expected to be met, ensuring that we succeed as a team to meet our company wide goals. Raw and finished parts are transferred to and from the warehouse in accordance with Production Manager and Powder Coating team.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently for periods of the day, so a self-start attitude is vital.

This is a great entry-level role for anyone looking to start a career in manufacturing, particularly in musical instruments.

100% of job duties are carried out at Deering Banjo Company, 3733 Kenora Dr, Spring Valley, CA91942

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Sandblast all parts to required specification
  • Wire up smaller components for Vega Vintage Star specifications
  • Ensure sandblaster is maintained and media is replaced as required

Machinery & Physical Requirements

  • Sitting: 0%
  • Standing: 100%
  • Bending: Occasionally
  • Lifting Requirements (lb and frequency): 40lb approx
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time (Strong core)

This role utilizes the use of commercial grade machinery including:

  • Commercial sandblast cabinet and media
