Corey Medders

Inducted into the Jug Band Hall of Fame in 2017, Corey Medders also known as "C.W. Medders" has been immersed in the sounds of the 1920's for over a decade. He has spent much of his time playing Plectrum Banjo on the streets, collecting 78rpm records, working on his antique automobiles, and also touring professionally with his bands, Steel City Jug Slammers and Red Mountain Jug Band. His most notable appearances are,  "A Prairie Home Companion" with Garrison Keillor, Animal Planet's "Pitbulls and Parolees Christmas Special", The National Jug Band Jubilee, and the main deck of the Belle of Louisville Steam Boat for its Centennial Celebration. He has also appeared on numerous radio shows including Jerry Springer's "Tales, Tunes, and Tomfoolery".Corey has been playing a Deering Banjo since the first time he heard one on the streets of New Orleans in 2012.
