Zachary Larson
Currently based in New York City, Zachary Larson is a guitarist, banjoist, and multi-instrumentalist who continually expands his musical horizons. His early pursuits playing in Rock bands transformed into a career spanning across Broadway, Bluegrass, Pop, Avant-Garde, and Classical music. In addition to guitar, he frequently performs on both 5-string and tenor banjo with the Harlem Chamber Players, concert choirs, and on hit Broadway musicals. Recent highlights include performances alongside Jimmy Buffett, Kerry Ellis, Telly Leung, and a special presentation of LaBarr’s The River for banjo and concert choir at Carnegie Hall. When not on big stages or in the studio he cuts his teeth in NYC’s bustling Bluegrass scene. Classically trained, Zachary holds a bachelor's and master’s degree in music from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and the University of Denver, respectively. He is proud to be in the Deering Artist family and currently performs on a Custom Sierra Maple 5-String.
