The Vega Kingston Trio Long Neck banjo is a very unique instrument. Instead of the usual extra 3 frets that standard long neck 5 string banjos have, this banjo only has 2 extra frets, thus giving it a standard tuning of open F.
There is an hangman's rope noose that is wrapped around an actual stick in the peghead and runs down inside the entire length of the fingerboard.
All of the banjo players names from entire history of the Kingston Trio are inlayed in the fingerboard.
