Deering John McEuen Signature Banjos
In celebration of John McEuen’s 50 year career as a banjoist having played a Deering 30th Anniversary banjo along with his Florentine for the past 10 years, John worked with Greg and Janet Deering to create a unique and special John McEuen signature model banjo.
The release of these beautiful banjos compliments the release of John’s new Made In Brooklyn recording which blurs the lines of acoustic, bluegrass and country music, much like the iconic Nitty Gritty Dirt Band’s Will The Circle Be Unbroken album did in 1971. It features an all star cast of musicians on a collection of signature originals and songs from yesteryear that appeals to people from all walks of life.

The John McEuen Signature model banjo is made of beautiful curly maple stained a golden honey and trimmed in ivoroid and Coral Snake purfling. White binding encircles the peghead where John McEuen’s name is set into the artfully designed floral pattern that gracefully adorns the peghead and ebony fingerboard. D-Tuners are installed on the 2nd and 3rd Strings. It has a unique look of 24 karat gold and chrome metal parts, accented with premium engraving on the tone ring, armrest and tailpiece. This exquisite banjo has a gold plated Deering -06- tone ring and a slightly deeper resonator for the precise sound John wanted.
John McEuen enjoys inspiring others to play music and as ‘Johnny Banjoseed’, he encouraged the Deering Banjo Company to release a John McEuen
Goodtime Two™ banjo that he could promote and inspire others to pick up the banjo. The John McEuen Goodtime Two™ banjo is an all maple bluegrass banjo with a resonator. The neck is hard rock maple and the rim is violin grade 3 ply maple for a good bluegrass tone and it only weighs about 6 pounds.
