Since 2008, Kristin Scott Benson has been a member of Grammy-nominated and two-time IBMA Entertainers of the Year, The Grascals. Kristin is one of the nation's top bluegrass banjo players, exhibiting impeccable taste, timing, and tone. She is also a long time banjo teacher, offering private lessons to hundreds of students for over a decade, as well as multiple lessons at the may banjo camps that she attends each year.
Kristin is the 5 time winner of the IBMA (International Bluegrass Music Association) Banjo Player of the Year Award, most recently winning the 2019 award. She is also the 2018 recipient of the Steve Martin Award for Excellence in Bluegrass and Banjo.
