"It works!"

Doesn't fit Goodtime rim nuts snuggly

"In spite of the item description, the wrench I got for my open back Goodtime is too large for the rim nuts. To be clear, I can - delicately - tighten them without stripping but, in a situation requiring more torque, I wouldn't risk it and would reach for my driver with a more precise fit."

— Frank P. (3/5)

Just What I Needed

"For some reason finding a T wrench has been a challenge. Deering made it easy and I was able to buy one for both an old Vega and a new modern maker. Both work perfectly."

T-wrenches

"Not a tool I use everyday but they are the best I have found when I do need them!!!"

Banjo T wrench

"Unfortunately when I tried to use it today it was too large. I thought I ordered the correct wrench for my Goodtime banjo but evidentially I didn't. Will try and order again and hope the next one is the correct one. The wrench is great as far as wrenches go. I have no complaint with the wrench other than it isn't the correct size."

Q&A

Dear sir what size wrench would I need for an openback plectrum banjp thanks
Hi Tony, If your open back plectrum banjo is a Deering you will want to use the 5/16th t-wrench, if it is a Goodtime banjo you will want to use the 9/32nd t-wrench - David V
Can you tell me which size T-wrench I need for a John Hartford banjo?
It should use a 1/4" t-wrench if you have a one piece flange on it; if it is a pop-on resonator, you would need a 5/16" size. Thanks for asking.
I got an old 6 string banjo with an 9'' head, which is now broken. Where is such sized head available?
Sorry...I don't have any referrals. I would do a google search for that size and see what comes up. We only carry 11 and 12" heads.
Does it work with your banjo ukulele?
Yes...order 9/32" size.
What the overall measurement length, the depth of the socket, what material is it?
Steel, about 1/4" depth; overall length 1 5/16"
I have just bought a 1999 Deering Vega, and was wondering what size wrench I need to get for it. Also, what case would you recommend that I replace this paper banjo case with?
You may need a 5/16" or a 1/4" ...call and tell me which one. 800-845-7791.
Hello, what is the ship weight of this wrench? if I order this along with the Goodtime arm rest would the combined ship weight be under 1lbs? I am asking because I need to ship it to an APO with a 1lbs limit. Thanks,
Yes, combined weight should be well under 1 1lb.
