The new Vintage Light set honors the heritage of the "Bell Brand Strings", widely acknowledged as the strings to use around the 1950’s. Used in countless classic recordings, these string gauges are an indispensable industry standard.

They might be light, but they sure do sound good

"I have two Deering banjos. A Goodtime and a Goodtime Americana. The Goodtime has Deering light strings, and I replaced the Deering lights with Vintage lights on the Americana. I didn’t know if, being a novice player, I would be able to tell the difference. I play clawhammer, and practice at least 7 hours a week, mostly on the Americana. The Vintage light strings have a delightful brightness to them, and they are easier to play. I truly prefer them to the others. Do not hesitate to try these, you might be pleasantly surprised like I am."
