The Dropkick Murphys Giving Tuesday Charity Banjo is an entirely one-of-a-kind 19-fret tenor banjo. From the natural maple neck with the rose tattoo and long time Dropkick Murphys pirate skull logo branded into it, to the Irish Green stained maple resonator and black powered finished metal parts, this is the Dropkick Murpyhs Giving Tuesday Charity Banjo.
The drumhead of the banjo has been personally signed by all the members of Dropkick Murphys, Ken Casey, Jeff DaRosa, Al Barr, Tim Brennan, Matt Kelley, James Lynch and includes a hand drawn art of the band name with their clover.
The charity Dropkick Murphys chose for this auction to benefit is the Claddagh Fund which was founded in Boston in 2009 by Ken Casey of the Dropkick Murphys. Ken, his bandmates and their families have supported charities throughout the history of the band. Understanding the power of their position to harness the passion and generosity of their fans, the Claddagh Fund was created to raise funds for and broaden impact on worthy, underfunded non-profits. Non-profits that support the most vulnerable individuals in our communities, including programs that support children, veterans organizations and alcohol & drug rehabilitation.
