John is a UK based multi-instrumentalist who has toured and sessioned with numerous UK bands over a 25 year period, currently finding success with ‘folk-punk’ band Ferocious Dog. John relies on his Deering Mahogany Sierra with Kavanjo pickup to cope with the band’s extensive worldwide touring schedule. He is soon to add the Maple Sierra A/E to his arsenal.
Ferocious Dog are totally independent, refusing to be signed despite numerous offers, raising funds for each of the three albums they have released through pre-sales. They are also very passionate about their charity work, raising awareness of homelessness by holding a ‘food drop’ for local food banks at every show they play around the world. Following a recent festival in Kenya the band have become involved with raising money to provide education and health services for the street-children they visited at one of Africa’s largest slums in Kibera, Nairobi.
One aspect of the band’s charity work close to John’s heart is their association with animal and conservation charities such as Sea Shepherd and the UK Hunt Saboteurs.
