Victoria Glover

Victoria Glover

Victoria Glover is a great example of the explosion of young talent in the world of bluegrass music today. Her Scruggs-style banjo playing and stunning vocal performances are hallmarks of her family's bluegrass band Mountain Highway.

Victoria's love for music resulted from her immersion in bluegrass culture over the years during trips with her family to music festivals in southwest Virginia and North Carolina. On a fateful day in 2016, she and her three young siblings first touched instruments at an "instrument petting zoo" during HoustonFest in Galax, Virginia. Within months, Victoria and her siblings had acquired instruments and were beginning to perform in public.

Today, Mountain Highway has a rigorous performance schedule in several states. Some of Victoria's favorite places to perform include the Jerusalem Ridge Bluegrass Celebration at Bill Monroe's homeplace in western Kentucky, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver Festival in Denton, North Carolina, and the iconic Floyd Country Store in southwest Virginia. Victoria strives to emulate Earl Scruggs while adding her own touches to her performances.

Victoria's favorite instrument is her Deering Sierra banjo, which she uses in her public performances with Mountain Highway.
