Nine year old Kevin Beddingfield, picked up his first banjo at the early age of 3. He taught himself to play the banjo (Frailing Style) by watching Grandpa Jones and Stringbean on youtube. When Kevin was 8, he started taking lessons from Ms. Joy Patton, to learn Clawhammer style. Kevin plays old time music with the goal of doing his part to keep it alive. Kevin is the 192nd member of Tomorrows Bluegrass Stars. Kevin has competed and placed in several fiddle conventions, fairs, and talent contest. Kevin also plays the Mandolin, Guitar, and Dobro under the instruction of Mr. Audey Ratliff. He is currently the 3rd place National Champion for Youth Banjo and Mandolin. He has also performed on WoodSongs Old Time Radio Hour and WDVX Blue Plate Special Radio Show. Kevin has a personal goal of being on the Grand Ole’ Opry!
