Are you using the same finger for picking and strumming. Some people use 2 different ones

Excellent tuition! I am in my 80’s and have just purchased a Feeling Banjo, started 4 years ago with a Ukulele. Unfortunately I have hurt my plucking hand hopefully it will get better soon! So I will spend time practising claw hammer without changing chords! Cheers

This is the BEST instructor and the BEST instruction on claw hammer that I have ever seen. It is explained very clearly and at a pace that I can do right now where I’m at with it. Other instructors and books go too fast and I get lost. do you have any instruction books on beginning claw hammer ?? tableture on claw hammer doesn’t make any sense and doesn’t evern sound like the song I’m trying to play , for example ; the Wildwood Flower . I have found my own way to play it going slow on claw hammer and it sou9nds like the song. How about that?? I hope you can help me. says Judy Corrette
