Part 1: An Introduction to Clawhammer.
I always enjoyed listening to my husband play his banjo (he actually played music with Gregg Deering in high school and they remained friends through the years) but I was always in awe watching his fingers make such fun music. It sounded so playful and looked so complicated. He passed away and I just today decided to pick up his banjo just to hold it. Then I wanted a bit more. I found this lesson by Barry Hunn on the Deering website. I thoroughly enjoyed the lesson, appreciated his teaching style and was shocked I made a bit of progress in just one short lesson. His approach was slow and understandable. I am inspired and I thank you for making this lesson available for us newbies to the instrument. I feel like I have two left hands, but I’m going to practice this lesson until I’ve got it down. Claudia Stahl
